Amy Barton received her B.A. in English from Mississippi University for Women and M.A. in English from Mississippi State University. Her teaching experience includes instruction in English Composition and Introduction to Literature, and, for the past three years, she taught technical writing to junior and senior engineering students at Mississippi State. Amy is from Columbus, Mississippi. She and her husband, Bradley, have a daughter, Cassidy, in the fifth grade. She joins the Prep faculty teaching four classes of English 10.
