Cindy is beginning her eighth year at Jackson Prep in the Business Office, where she handles accounts payable.

In 1978, she received her Bachelor degree in marketing and management from the University of Mississippi. Cindy then worked for twenty-five years at her family business, Frank R. Thomas Company, Inc., where she was bookkeeper and secretary of the corporation. Frank R. Thomas Company was a wholesale distributor company that serviced Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama until it closed in 2000 when the City of Jackson bought the property for downtown development.

Cindy has been married to David Brooks for twenty-seven years. David is bank specialist with First Commercial Bank. David also serves as Minister of Music at Pearl United Methodist Church.

Cindy and David have three children, Jennifer, Jason and Stephanie all graduates of Jackson Prep.

Cindy’s favorite book is A Painted House by John Grisham and her favorite movie is “Gone with the Wind.” Her favorite quote is, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”
