“Many young people feel some degree of angst in the transition from high school to college as they become exposed to the diversity of new ideas and people, gradually moving from their clearly defined black and white world views to the endless kaleidoscope of ideologies. As they engage in more complex and abstract thinking, students will seek identity, independence, and intimacy in the settings in which they spend their next four years. Therefore, finding the right college environment for every student and the financial resources to attend that college are essential components of the college counseling office at Jackson Prep.”
