Luis
Campos - Spanish/Athletics
Luis Campos is in his fifth year at Jackson Prep. Currently he teaches
Spanish II and Honors Spanish III and IV. For four years, he served
as Baseball Varsity assistant Coach. Also he has served as Varsity
and JV Fast Pitch Softball assistant coach. He is co-sponsor of
the 12th grade class and the Spanish Club.
Luis graduated from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic High School in his
native Maracaibo in the beautiful country of Venezuela. In 1986
graduate with an associate degree in marketing and in 1995 graduate
with a bachelor degree in administration with double minor in marketing
and commerce. Luis came to America in 1996 to attend Southwest Missouri
State University (today Missouri State University) in Springfield
Missouri, where he graduated with a Master in Public Administration
(MPA) and was a graduate assistant in the SMSU political science
department. His has extensive work experience ranging from working
in the Venezuelan's marketing industry to local and state government
jobs in the show me state.
Luis and his wife, Mariluz have been living in Mississippi since
1999 when he came to work in the poultry industry. Luis has a son,
Andres Eduardo (16) who lives in Venezuela.
