I would have never pictured myself as an Assistant
Principal or, for that matter, a school teacher. However after
19 years here at Prep, I hope that I am here to stay. Following
graduation at Millikin University (Illinois’ answer to Millsaps)
with a degree in History, I moved to Hilton Head Island to work
on my golf game. Qualifying school showed me that I would need
to find a different way to earn a living.
I returned home, now in Shreveport, and entered the graduate
program at Louisiana Tech serving as a Graduate Assistant in the women’s
sports program. After earning a Master’s degree in History, I moved with
my family to Jackson where I landed at Prep. I have taught many of the
history courses offered and served, for many years, as an assistant basketball
coach. Now I coach golf and work “in the office”. I enjoy playing golf,
as much for the tranquility as the competition, although I have enjoyed
success in various tournaments throughout the state. Reading is also one
of my favorite pastimes, along with attending any Prep event and spending
time with friends and family.
