Seventh Graders Qualify for Duke TIP Program

Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP) began in 1980 and identifies academically talented seventh graders.  Eligible students must have scored at the 95th percentile or higher on a grade level standardized achievement, aptitude, or mental ability test.  The Talent Search provides an excellent opportunity for highly capable students to pursue an above-level testing experience by taking either the ACT or SAT.  Prep is pleased to announce that there are 59 seventh graders in the Class of 2020 that qualified for the TIP program.  Pictured here are (row 7, from left) Kate Oliver, Kaleb Boler, JC Polk, Sam Drennan, Spencer Williams, Maggie Muenzenmay, Gayle Grantham, Leigh Hardin; (row 6)  Caleb Gay, Holmes Maley, Wesley McCulley, Russ Upton, Hannah Grace Biggs, Katie Hubacek, Michelle Daschbach, Olivia Wann; (row 5) Brennan Joy Hight, Turner Isonhood, Alice Ann Hollingsworth, Abigail Metcalf, Anna Reagan Mask, Kathryn Weir, Olivia Moore, Wright Thompson, Austin Lambing; (row 4) Jimmy Underwood, Cade Engels, Alexander Payne, John Miller, Jon-Sanders Watson, Preston Oden, Katie Buckley, Mary Pettey Hardin; (row 3) Rachel Lyon, Mary Noble Howard, Olivia Clapp, Andrew Purvis, David Crews, Blake Haskins, Virden O’Brien, Joe Bryant; (row 2) Benjamin Johnson, Parker Wilkerson, Griffin Dulaney, Lila Geddie, Sara Scott Gideon, Caroline Dreher, Sarah Douglas Craig, Rebekah Weaver; (front) Nicholas Dean, Sara Simmons, Allie Wise, Meredith Chrislip, Katie Lewis, Ainsley O’Quinn, Kathleen Myers.  Not pictured: Mary Virginia Baldwin, Ethan Herrin, Jake Lange.
