Academics Purchased Netbooks for 8th Grade Integrated Science, Netbooks for Guyton Science Center, and Geometer’s Sketchpad for math teachers; subscribed to ExploreLearning.com (world’s largest library of interactive online simulations for math and science education in grades 3-12); replaced 25 teacher laptops; provided tablet computers for five instructors; purchased Probes for science classes; purchased software for online assessment for English vocabulary and math; upgraded portable laptop labs; enhanced experiential student learning trip support; added scanners for 6th grade faculty for curriculum conversion to digital format; added wash basins in two Junior High science rooms; funded additional in-service programs for faculty
Arts Converted Senior High foyer to showcase student art with Applause support; purchased new band instruments, installed cabinets and storage units in Band Hall; added a new work table for art classrooms, and purchased recording and editing equipment for the drama department
Jesse L. Howell, Jr. Library Added to collections; installed new counter and storage cabinets
Technology Introduced new websites for arts, athletics, and leadership; added virtual server software for improved redundancy and efficiency; purchased new academic server; implemented online registration software for enrollment and re-enrollment and summer camps; upgraded wireless networks for improved speed and utilization in computers used for teaching
Physical Plant Enhancements Purchased new podium for auditorium; constructed Global Leadership Institute Office; added new benches in Guyton Science Center; implemented additional energy efficiency improvements; installed new windscreen with graphics on west fence of parking lot separating entrance driveway and baseball field; designed master plan for athletic field landscape and aesthetic improvements; installed wainscot in Junior High Office and upgraded two classrooms in Senior High Building
Athletics Installed new lights for soccer field; replaced carpet on second floor of Manning Center, and added carpet logo to complement the carpet in the Carlisle Room; replaced mower; added storage area for tennis equipment; purchased new basketball scorer’s table
