The Mississippi Room
A prominent feature of the Howell Library is The Mississippi Room, an area set aside to house a special collection. Books about Mississippi, about Mississippians and by Mississippians are grouped in this room, as are other state-related holdings. Also found here is the Eudora Welty collection. Donated to the Howell Library by Miss Welty herself, this collection comprises art, photos, awards, and signed first editions. Other Mississippi author memorabilia is also found in the Mississippi Room. Students are always welcome!
