SENIOR PARTIES
Several years ago as a
service to senior parents, the PAT developed a Senior Calendar to aid with
scheduling parties. It serves as a
clearinghouse so that parties will not be scheduled at the same time. It is strongly recommended that the dates for
all parties be placed on the senior calendar by calling the Senior Calendar
Coordinator. This is not the official
school calendar, although school events, including athletic events, are put on
the Senior Calendar in order to avoid conflicts and to help with selecting a
day and time for the party.
The PAT suggests the
following guidelines to make senior parties a pleasant experience for everyone:
·
Both the PAT and
the administration encourage that the guest list reflects the senior class –
younger students will have the opportunity to attend parties when they are
seniors themselves.
·
No more than 2
parties per senior when that senior is the only honoree; the senior may be part
of as many group parties as desired. There is only so much space on the calendar
and we want everyone to have the chance to get a time slot.
·
No parties during
exam weeks.
·
Remember that AP
labs are scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday mornings. This would affect guests
invited to breakfasts.
·
No alcoholic
beverages served.
·
No parties on
graduation night.
·
Remind your
seniors to RSVP in a timely manner!
·
Mail the
invitations – do not place in school lockers.
Please pass these guidelines
on to anyone that is hosting a party for your senior.
Call me if you have any
questions or if you know of conflicting events (i.e. church or community events
or anything that would adversely affect a party’s attendance) that should be
added to the calendar.
Thanks so much for your
cooperation!
