to Jamey McDowell who was awarded the Subject Area Award for Latin II.
*Girls’ soccer – there will be a meeting today after school at
3:10 in the gym for all girls interested in playing soccer next year.
*7th Grade Honors Forum today in the auditorium at 10:55 – parents are invited
*Drivers’ Education Class (before
school in the fall) will begin Aug. 23.
Interested students will sign up in the JH Office when school begins.
*Early dismissal
at 12:30 Thurs. Locker clean-out at 12:25 – everything
must go! No use of lockers during exams.
*Summer Reading books – JH
students may pick up the books they
ordered in the JH foyer after exams,
staring this Friday.
*Flag corps and drum line
– students interested in being a part of the flag corps or the drum line, see
Mr. Kincaid in band hall ASAP.
*Student ID badges
will be turned in at the math exam, Tues., May 25. Students who do not turn in a badge will pay a
*LIBRARY NOTICE: The following students still have not cleared their
obligations in the library: Sixth Grade: Valerie Bagwell,
Madison Dikett, Avery Eaton; Seventh Grade: Jordan Barclay,
William Carter, Anna Easterling, Karl Hatten, Anna Teal, Meghan Whitlow; Ninth

Williams. The Eighth Grade is completely clear!
*TEXTBOOKS – Students must inform their
parents of money owed on textbooks and paid for prior to exams.

*PAT SWAP SHOP
– Drop off tagged uniforms Mon., May 24, 7:30-9:30 a.m. in the SH foyer. The sale is Tues., May 25 from 9-11 a.m. in
the Manning Center (cash only). Check

END OF THE YEAR REMINDERS FOR PARENTS
AND STUDENTS:

All library fines must be paid and books returned (or replaced) in order for student to
take their exams.
·
All financial obligations to the school
including the business office and cafeteria must be resolved prior to exams.
·
All uniforms and equipment must be turned in to the appropriate coach prior to
exams.
·
Lost and Found
in the JH foyer. Teachers and coaches,
please bring books and clothing from your classroom/gym to the foyer prior to
exams. Purses, jewelry, wallets, etc.
will be in the office.
·
Early

Locker clean out – 12:25, Thursday, May 20.
EVERYTHING must be removed from the locker you were assigned whether you
used it or not. Lockers are not to be used during exams.

Bring sharpened, #2 pencils and a
calculator for Science and Math exams, per teacher instruction.
THE
PREP
DRESS CODE REMAINS IN EFFECT DURING EXAMS. STUDENTS SHOULD BE PICKED UP PROMPTLY
AFTER EACH EXAM. CELL PHONES are to be
turned off and placed on the teachers’ desk during the exam.

Textbook Return
– Each textbook will be returned the day of that exam, prior to taking the exam
in the assigned room.

ID badges will be turned in at the Math Exam on Tues.,
May 25
·
Proof
of School Attendance Form for students wishing to get their driving permit
or license during the summer should request the form by calling the Junior High
or Senior Office during the summer to determine which office is open.
·
Report Cards will
be mailed home in early June.
