Academic Counseling

The Upper School and Lower School Counselors at Jackson Preparatory School seek to play a vital role in maximizing student success within the classroom as well as beyond and serve as a liaison between students, parents, faculty and the administration. Prep Counselors are available to assist students in exploring options, finding solutions, and making decisions regarding academic and personal issues.

Prior to initiating the college admission conversation with Malika Lindsay, Upper School Counselors administer YouScience to juniors. The resulting YouScience profile identifies student aptitudes and interests related to successful college and/or work decisions. Upon completion of the YouScience profile, students then meet with a member of the Upper School Counseling staff to review and discuss individual results.
