Alumni Leadership

Miriam Cochran serves as Advancement Coordinator at Jackson Prep, where alumni relations is one of her primary areas of focus. She works to keep Patriots of every generation connected to their alma mater through reunions, campus events, and opportunities to serve. Miriam also oversees the Annual Fund and assists with admissions, making her a valuable resource for alumni who wish to give back, support the school's Tradition of Excellence, or introduce a prospective family to Prep. Become a Professional Resource

The Jackson Prep Externship Program gives students the opportunity to explore a potential career field through research and hands-on learning. Each student's semester is organized around a central question he or she wants to explore, with time divided between on-campus research, 5–7 weeks of off-campus experiential learning, and a final research project.
Over the past five years, dozens of students have gained valuable insight and experience in fields as diverse as general surgery and organ transplant, veterinary medicine, architecture, and music production.
We need alumni like you to make it possible. There are many ways to serve as a resource: hosting a student at your workplace, offering a conversation about your career path, connecting a student with colleagues in your field, or simply making yourself available for questions. Whatever your capacity, your professional experience is invaluable to our students. Please fill out this form to be listed as an externship resource.
