Michael McAnally -varsity & junior high girls basketball head coach, 7th & 8th-grade girls basketball assistant coach
Coach McAnally is beginning his 21st year in education and his seventh season at Jackson Prep as the head coach of both the varsity and junior high girls basketball teams. McAnally has a career varsity record of 542-414 over 19 seasons of coaching both varsity girls and boys, including four division titles, three state titles, and the 2010 overall girls state championship. His previous stops include Huntington School (2000-2003), Copiah Academy (2003-2006), and East Rankin Academy (2006-2014). His responsibilities also include teaching Algebra 2. A 1996 Prep graduate, McAnally was part of the basketball and baseball programs and was a member of the 1996 overall state championship basketball team. He is a 2000 graduate of Ole Miss, earning his bachelor’s degree in business administration, and a 2018 graduate of Concordia University Irvine, earning his master’s degree in coaching and athletic administration.
